Welcome to Cloudburst for iPhone!
I've been driving a convertible for the last 5+ years and one thing I had wanted, since getting it, was a quick way to check to see if, when I parked it, I could leave the top down or if I had to put it the top up because of approaching rain.
Now, 5+ years ago, I had a Sony Ericsson "internet" phone, but what was available then was stone-aged crude by today's standards, and I was never able to actually get the app I needed for it. Enter iPhone.
Once we got our hands on the iPhone SDK, Cloudburst was one of the things I started playing around with, as a way of learning the new APIs. It was more of a learning project for a while, but at some point I realized that I still didn't have what I wanted and needed from existing App store apps: a quick way to see the current conditions, the 4 day forecast and the current weather radar image, all in one quick glance. I was finding myself bouncing from weather app to weather app, and from tab to tab within them, just to get the basic information I wanted. Because of this, Cloudburst as you see it now was born.
Cloudburst gives you a tab for each location you are interested in. On each tab, you will find the 4 day forecast, the current conditions (temperature and weather conditions with a rotating set of extended information like humidity, wind directions and speed, etc.) and the current weather radar image from the National Weather Service. Boom! Everything there in one view.
The weather radar loop can be played just by touching the "play" button on the current weather image. Zooming in on the current weather loop is just a double-tap on the weather image away. Cloudburst: Your Weather Simple and Quick!
